A poker news site that writes and publishes itself

The site publishes poker news daily without anyone sitting down to write it. A news track pulls from RSS feeds and drafts against the source, and an evergreen feature track fills the days when the feed is dry, so the schedule never has a hole in it.
Photography was the hard part
Poker tour photography is licensed per organiser. The pipeline routes each article to the correct gallery based on which tour it covers, falls back to a generic venue pool when no match exists, and only reaches for a generated image as a last resort.
The rule that made it reliable was refusing to send the approval email at all when no image could be attached. An article with a broken hero looks worse than one that arrives a day late, so the mail is held and retried on the next daily pass.
What it replaced
Topic selection, research, drafting, sourcing an image, formatting and scheduling, every day. Now it is an approval email and about a minute of reading.
